Forncett V A Primary was opened in 1848 on a site next to St Peters' Church, to serve the three villages. Before that the school was held in the building now used as the Village Hall in Low Road, Forncett St Mary.

The Head Teacher is Mrs G. Ottewell.

There are about 80 children on the roll, including the reception class.
